The Support Project of the Rabat Process, Euro-African Dialogue on Migration and Development (http://www.processusderabat.net), implemented by a consortium led by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) and funded by the European Commission, is looking for an infographic designer.

Participation is open on equal terms to all natural and legal persons of the EU Member States and the States and territories of regions expressly covered and/or allowed by the Financial Regulation of the European Union.

The infographic designer will implement a series of 6 static infographics (not interactive), that deal with questions related to border management in Africa. Each infographic will be developed in 2 languages, English and French. Content and translation will be provided.

The featured themes might include:
• Management of maritime borders in Africa
• Questions related to cross-border communities in Africa
• Statistical information on borders in Africa
• An infographic presenting border management guidelines
• A map providing an overview on strategic documents on border management
• An infographic on crisis management (contingency) plans, focusing on migration aspects

These infographics will have different levels of complexity. Those that are highly complex will include several elements, such as statistical graphs, timelines, mapping of actors, etc.

Required skills :
- Working language will be English and/or French
- Active involvement in the elaboration of the visual concept (advice, sharing of ideas, flexibility)
- Interest for the work of international organisations and development questions

The majority of the tasks should be carried out between January and May 2014. If our collaboration proves successful, it is possible to renew our collaboration for another series of infographics.

The infographics will be featured on the platform of the Interactive Map on Migration (i-Map), available at : www.imap-migration.org.

The Support Project awaits your expression of interest, including examples of past work, and will contact you before the end of December for a request for quotation, including detailed modalities for collaboration.
